About Me

Dear Parent,

My name is Maritza Khamenian.

I am Hispanic, and proud! Born in Panama, I am happily married, with two beautiful children, Brandon (11 years old) and Yashar (5 years old). I am an Accountant and I quit my job on August 2005. I began doing family childcare as a way to spend more time with my own children. I truly enjoy what I do and I hope it shows through in the children whose lives I feel lucky to be a part of.

I am licensed by state of California Department of Social Services. I have small License, which means (up to 8 children) I am allowed 6 full time children and 2 before / after school children I am certified in the 15- hour’s Pediatric First Aid and CPR course through the American Red Cross. I am certified in The Program for Infant/Toddler Care curriculum offer by WestEd and the California State of Department of Education, Child Development Division.

I am trained on Professional Advanced Childcare Education Programs offer by the Children Home Society. I am active member of different Childcare association such as: (OCCCA) Orange County Child Care Association, and I am the Chair person for (OCCCA) for Tustin area. I attend monthly workshops to continue my education through The Children’s Home Society I am in the process of going back to school to further my education in Early Childhood Education.
